For more than 74 years, Atterdag Village of Solvang has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors within our community. As a nonprofit organization, we provide compassionate, dependable care for seniors and peace of mind for the families who love them.
Atterdag Village is a multi-level retirement community offering care for life, allowing residents to remain on our campus as their needs change. Today, we provide care and support for over 160 residents, serving seniors of all financial backgrounds with dignity and respect.

Access to quality care is central to our mission. Twenty percent of our residents receive subsidies covering up to 75% of housing and care costs, made possible through People Who Care Scholarships, Medi-Cal, and Endowment support.
People Who Care Scholarship Program
For more than 50 years, the People Who Care Scholarship Program has supported low-income seniors throughout the valley. With $170,000 in annual fundraising, the program provides housing, care, and essential support for seniors on campus and assistance for homebound seniors who need help remaining safe and cared for at home. Over the past four years, 30 seniors have received critical support, many facing serious health challenges or housing instability.
